Patrick Stewart Interview 1988

Interview on Charlie Rose Show in 1998

Patrick Stewart mentions two theater productions during the interview. He played Othello in Washington, D.C. in 1998. I travelled to Washington via Amtrak that year and saw that production. He was the only white man in the show where the rest of the cast was African American. I also travelled to New York City to see his one man show of A Christmas Carol in that year. Those two productions were really fantastic and have a lot to do with why I still pursue theatre.

I believe I went to see Stewart in New York in 1995 as I also saw Avery Brooks do a one man show of Paul Robeson in that same year.
